Michael G. Parker

Michael G. Parker is a Managing Partner and co-founder of BioAsset Advisors. Michael has over 25 years of experience assisting organizations in Health Care and Life Sciences improve performance and realize value from their assets. Michael’s work has focused assisting clients with issues related to product, marketing, and competitive strategy; business development, including both in- and outlicensing; opportunity and technology assessments; and R&D strategy and portfolio management.

His recent experience includes assisting companies in assessing the commercial value of their drugs and positioning for transactions; and developing franchise strategies for a variety of therapeutic areas.

Previous assignments included valuing the late-stage oncology portfolio of a global pharmaceutical company, assisting a global vaccine manufacturer in developing and implementing an institutional R&D portfolio management process, and assessing go-alone vs. partnering strategies for biotechnology companies.

Clients that Michael has served include Biogen Idec, Glaxo SmithKline, Wyeth, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Sanofi Pasteur, Idenix, Johnson & Johnson, and Merck. Prior to founding BioAsset Advisors, Michael was a Director and office leader at Bionest Partners; an Associate Partner at Monitor Group; Vice President, Health Care and Life Sciences at Razorfish; and a Partner at KPMG Consulting.

Michael has an MBA from Baruch College, graduate training in Neurobiology at the University of North Carolina, and a BA in Biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
